2:07 a.m. — What do People See…….

It’s late.

The kind of late where everything is quiet enough that you can finally hear your own thoughts.

And tonight, I keep thinking about how people see me.

They probably see a pretty woman. I know I am. People have told me that my whole life.

But I wonder if that’s all they see.

Because there is so much more underneath.

I wonder if anyone notices how I look away when someone holds my gaze too long.

I wonder if they think I’m shy or distant, when really, being seen too closely just makes me uncomfortable.

Because being seen is scary. Not the pretty parts.
The real parts.
The messy, insecure parts I don’t always know how to explain.

I’ve gotten good at hiding them.
And compliments are strange.
People tell me I’m beautiful, and I smile it off.
But inside, I still wonder, Do you really mean that?
Because sometimes I don’t see what they see.
I only see what I think is wrong.

It’s strange how easily we believe the bad things we tell ourselves, but struggle with the good things others say.

And yet I know there are beautiful things about me.

Just not always the obvious ones.

I find happiness in small things.
💫A quiet morning. 💫A warm cup.💫Laughter. 💫Unexpected joy.

Moments where I don’t have to be anything.

When I’m truly happy, I talk a lot.💫I forget to be careful.💫I just become me.

And I think that version of me is the closest to who I really am.

But there are also days when I feel behind, overwhelmed, not enough.
Days I’m hardest on myself.

I should be better. Stronger. Further ahead.
And even when I’m exhausted, I keep going.
Maybe people don’t see how much effort that takes.
They just see me showing up, smiling, functioning.

Not the moments I have to pull myself together just to get through the day.
But I do….Somehow, I always do….

Even when I don’t feel strong.
And maybe that is my strength.
Not that I never fall apart, but that I keep finding my way back.
So yes, I’m pretty.

But I am also soft, complicated, sensitive, funny, stubborn, and emotional.

I’ve survived things I don’t always talk about.
I carry things no one can see.
And I’m still here.
Still laughing. Still loving. Still finding joy in small moments.

That has to count for something.

Because beauty changes.
And I don’t want my worth to change with it.
I want to be remembered for how I made people feel.

💫For the love.💫The laughter.💫The care.💫 The way I kept going.

And maybe the hardest part is learning to see that in myself.

⭐To stop searching for what’s wrong.
⭐To look in the mirror and think,

There you are!.

You were always enough.

And tonight, at 2:07 a.m., I think maybe…

just maybe…

I’m starting to……..
