To my daughter’s

To my daughter’s… there is something I need you to know. ❤️

I don’t want you to spend your life trying to be the “good girl.”
I want you to be real.
Because I know how heavy “good” can become.
Good means doing what everyone expects.
Keeping everyone happy.
Saying yes when your heart is screaming no.
Putting everyone else first.
Being the one who never causes trouble.

But sweetheart…

You were not put on this earth to make everyone else comfortable.
There will be people who tell you who you should be.
🖤What you should do.
🖤Who you should love.
🖤What you should tolerate.
🖤And sometimes you’ll listen.
But sometimes, my girl, you’ll have to listen to that little voice inside your heart that whispers…

“This isn’t right for me.”

Listen to it!
Because….

🖤What is good for someone else may not be good for you.
🖤What makes someone else happy may leave you empty.
🖤And what the world calls “good” may sometimes cost you pieces of yourself.
So don’t be the good girl.

Be the real girl.

🖤Be the woman who knows when to say yes and when to say no.
🖤Be kind, but don’t allow people to use your kindness.
🖤Love deeply, but never forget to love yourself.
🖤Forgive, but don’t keep giving people permission to hurt you.
🖤Stand up for yourself.
🖤Walk away when you need to.
🖤Speak your truth, even when your voice shakes.

And if you ever have to choose between being accepted by everyone and being true to yourself…

Choose yourself.

🖤I hope I’ve taught you right from wrong.
🖤I hope I’ve taught you that kindness matters.
🖤I hope I’ve given you the courage to make your own choices.
🖤I hope I’ve loved you enough that you never feel you have to earn my love by being perfect.

Because you don’t.

🖤You never have.
🖤You never will.
🖤You are going to make mistakes.
🖤You’re going to trust the wrong people.
🖤You’re going to get your heart broken.
🖤You’re going to make choices I may not understand.
🖤And there will be days when you don’t recognize the woman staring back at you in the mirror.

But remember this…

You can always come home. ❤️

Not because I’ll always agree with you.
Not because I’ll always understand.
But because you are my daughter.
There will never be a version of you that I stop loving.

🖤So laugh loudly.
🖤Love fiercely.
🖤Cry when you need to.
🖤Dance when nobody is watching.
🖤Take chances.
🖤Make mistakes.
🖤Dream bigger than you think you should.

And when life knocks you down…
Get back up“Even if you have tears running down your face.Even if you don’t know what comes next.
Just keep going.

Because….

🖤I don’t need you to be the perfect daughter.
🖤I don’t need you to be the “good girl.”
🖤I just want you to be YOU.

🖤The woman who knows her worth.
🖤The woman who trusts her heart.
🖤The woman who can stand on her own.
🖤The woman who loves deeply without losing herself.
🖤The woman who isn’t afraid to choose herself.
Because “good” is how the world may choose to see you.

But real…

Real… is who you are when nobody is watching.
And if one day you look back at your life and know that you lived honestly, loved deeply, stood up for yourself, learned from your mistakes, and stayed true to who you were…

Then, my beautiful girls,
I’ll know I did my job.
I didn’t raise “good girls.”
I raised woman who knew who she was.

And that…

That will always be one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I love you more than words could ever explain.

Always.

Mom ❤️
